Florida hosts an annual conference, The Family Cafe, specific to families of students with disabilities. It is an exciting, inclusive event, and held in the Orlando/Kissimmee area every June. Why not consider participating next year? Information on the Family Cafe can be found on the Family Cafe website, please click here.
Comments from the Family Cafe site regarding the June, 2021 event:
"The 23rd Annual Family Cafe was a hybrid event, with both in-person and virtual participation options.
We’ve now begun the process of making all of our content available to everyone, whether or not you were able to attend.
- Sessions from our livestream, including three keynotes, the Governor’s Summit on Disabilities, and select breakout sessions can be viewed on the Video tab of our Facebook page.
- Other sessions held on site in Orlando were recorded, and we are preparing those for release.
- We’re also collecting videos and presentation materials from presenters that could not be in Orlando to share with you.
In the coming weeks, we will make an online version of the event program with links to all of the presentation content available here on our website. We’ll be sure to make an announcement once it’s ready!"
